Kounosuke Kawakami

Biography

Kounosuke Kawakami was born in Yamanashi in 1979, and he currently lives and works in Okayama. Kawakami holds an MFA from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London, and is currently a Lecturer at the Kurashiki University of Science and The Arts. Notable exhibitions include: Refugees Welcome Film Festival, Berlin, 2019; Altered Esthetics, Minnesota, 2019; Nanometri Festival, Fano, 2019; Visions in the Nunnery, London, 2018; The Task of the Translator, Tokyo 2015; Dada-inspired performance and re-enactment of “Sanka Theater”, Tokyo 2015; and Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, 2007.
