Ružica Sokić

Biography

Ružica Sokić (December 14, 1934 – December 19, 2013) was a notable Serbian and Yugoslav actress best known for her performances in films such as When I Am Dead and Gone (1967), Love Affair, or the Case of the Missing Switchboard Operator (1967), and Yellow (1973).

Throughout her career, Sokić appeared in more than 70 films and numerous television and theatre productions, becoming one of the most respected actresses of Yugoslav cinema.

She received two Golden Arenas at the Pula Film Festival, for her performances in Yellow (1973) and Guns of War (1974).

She passed away in 2013 in Belgrade at the age of 79.
