Biography

Michele Mally is an Italian film director and screenwriter specializing in documentaries on art, culture and history. His works include Klimt & Schiele: Eros and Psyche (2018), Munch: Love, Ghosts and Lady Vampires (2022), Edith (2023), a portrait of writer and Holocaust survivor Edith Bruck, and Uomini e Dei: The Wonders of the Egyptian Museum (2023). He also directed Scarrozzanti e spiritelli – 50 anni di vita del Teatro Franco Parenti (2023), presented at the Rome Film Festival. Edith was awarded a Nastro d'Argento in 2024 in the Cinema, Culture and Entertainment documentary category.
