Biography

María Camila Loboguerrero (Bogotá, 1941) is a Colombian film director, screenwriter and editor. She was the first woman in Colombia to enter the film industry as a feature film director.

Camila began her fine arts studies at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota and later traveled to Paris where she studied art history at the Sorbonne in France, where she met film personalities of that country and became interested in filmmaking, which led her to pursue a degree in cinematography at the University of Vincennes in France, later specializing in film directing, educational filmmaking and anthropological and documentary filmmaking in Paris.
