Michael O'Halloran

Biography

Michael O’Halloran is an award-winning Australian film director. A graduate of QUT’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television, he has built a reputation for cinematic storytelling, visual flair, and tightly paced narratives.

His early short films screened at a wide range of festivals both nationally and internationally, where they received multiple accolades. More recently, his short-form work gained recognition with an ARIA Award nomination for Best Video in 2024 for directing Platinum-selling Budjerah’s Is It Ever Gonna Make Sense.

In 2025, Michael’s debut feature film, SPACE/TIME, was released in Australia and New Zealand through Umbrella Entertainment, playing to sold-out audiences...
