Carlos Leiva, born on April 3, 1986, in Santiago, Chile, is a director and screenwriter known for his work in both short and feature films. His portfolio includes short films such as "El hijo" (2008), "Ambiente Familiar" (2010), "El 10" (2011), and "Hambre" (2013), as well as feature films like "El primero de la Familia" (2016, Best Director at Sanfic) and "Todos Somos Justos" (2024). In 2011, he founded Avispa Cine, an independent production company focused on author driven films.
