Biography

Sherihan is an Egyptian actress, singer, and dancer who became one of the Arab world’s most recognizable entertainers. She began performing at a young age with the encouragement of her half-brother, actor and guitarist Omar Khorshid.

She is best known for her elaborate Ramadan musical variety shows, particularly the *Fawazeer Ramadan* series, which combined acting, singing, dance, extravagant costumes, and audience riddles. These productions made her a major television icon across the Arabic-speaking world during the 1980s and 1990s.
