Andrew Boley has slyly defined high brow concepts with down and dirty aesthetics. ‘Kill Him’ (2015), a Hobo Noir(a subgenre that starts and ends with 'Kill Him') generally feels filthy and is set in a grimy part of the city but also tackles dark, dramatic themes like honor and societal responsibilities. ‘Mysterious Ways’(2018) is a short film that Andrew wrote & directed about hipster musicians in LA, grungy and grimy 'Mysterious Ways' also tells the story of a couple trying to balance the precariousness of maintaining the person you were while becoming the person you wish to be.
