Stathis Athanasiou

Biography

Stathis Athanasiou has studied Medicine, Animation and Film Direction.

He was invited at the 3rd Berlinale Talent Campus, while his films have received various awards in many international film festivals. “DOS, a love story in reverse...” (2011) is his first feature film. The film won several awards, and was an official selection in more than 10 international festivals (NYIIFF, Hong-Kong EFF, Gijón IFF, Thessaloniki IFF et al.)

His work in contemporary theatre plays and performance has traveled in such prestigious festivals as Festival d’Automne á Paris, Kunsten Festival des Artes in Brussels, Wiener Festwöchen in Vienna, Athens Festival et al. with important groups like Theseum Ensemble [...
