Saw Teong Hin

Biography

A multiple award-winning producer, writer and director for film, television and theatre, Teong Hin co-wrote and directed, "Puteri Gunung Ledang"; the first Malaysian film invited to the Venice International Film Festival, and submitted for Academy Awards.

Given his wide-ranging interests, he went from historical epic to romantic comedy, musical, sports and political films as well as the first Penang Hokkien feature film, "You Mean The World To Me". For theatre, Teong Hin co-wrote the book for "Puteri Gunung Ledang – The Musical".
